The sprite of springtime flower
lands and roots
anew.

Sun tramples
Come quench
an arid persistence
breathes dust

Grown for humble earth
Supple leaves
curl
in autumn decay

Whisper
growth renew
refresh from last year's
desecration.

ReplyDeleteyou're quite the master (mistress?) of phrasing. This feels like a poem you write on a napkin at lunch, and stuff it in your pocket for later. Which is pretty cool.
